Solar Water Pump System Changes People’s Life

Children in Eritrea, Altera (Aytera) are standing before the government installed solar water supply system installed. After two or three hours of travel arrived in the water, the villagers had to queue the water from the water well of the Dependgra 12 meters, and then went home with heavy water.

Today, it is benefited from the solar water pump system installed by the government in June 2015, and the water supply conditions have been greatly improved. People can get water easily from the deep well, also solar energy is green and renewable. It saves lots of money on electric costs.

Tesfasilase Qualdet in the village said the difficulties of watering water from the old water well, “that is a nightmare.” His children of the elderly have grown-up adults. All of them are living in the big city, so walking to the water point is extremely difficult to get water for him. He said: “This project has changed our lives, we are very grateful for this.

The government has already installed 80pcs solar water supply systems for livestock, which distributes ponds for small-scale irrigation, providing livestock vaccination services, and assisting repatriation hope to return to home Ethiopian people.
