The winter solstice, also known as the short solstice, winter festival, sub-year, etc., has a saying in ancient folk that “the winter solstice is as big as the year”. After the winter solstice, the daytime will gradually lengthen, which in ancient times symbolized the beginning of a new life. The winter solstice is a very important solar term in the Chinese lunar calendar, and it is also one of the traditional festivals of the Chinese nation.
Eating dumplings during the winter solstice is our traditional custom. In order to let employees feel the solar terms of the winter solstice, and feel the atmosphere and fun of making dumplings by themselves, so that everyone can have a happy and warm festival, on December 22, 2022, PolexTech company is organizing dumpling-making activities.
As noon approached, we had already prepared the ingredients, dough, and chopping boards before the event. The employees were so enthusiastic that they couldn’t hold back their excitement. Everyone gathers together with a clear division of labor and tacit cooperation. Kneading noodles, rolling skins, adjusting stuffing, and making dumplings. The scene is very exciting. Helping each other and teaching each other, each showed their talents, and the relationship between colleagues also deepened. After a while, rows of dumplings with unique personalities and different shapes were “out of the oven”.
When plates of steaming dumplings were brought to the table, the strong smell of dumplings filled the room. Everyone felt the joy of cooperation and the warmth of the collective while eating the dumplings made by themselves, and they forgot the winter chill. Amidst the laughter, everyone spent a warm and unforgettable winter solstice.
Through this dumpling-making activity, not only the participating employees felt the joy of cooperation, but also enhanced the relationship between colleagues. Although the dumplings are small, they not only warm the hearts of the employees, and enhance their sense of happiness and belonging, but also make them more motivated to devote themselves to the company’s business development with more enthusiasm.
